Hi, I’m Tia!
Owner and Instructor
Tia Furstenberg (B.F.A. ‘20) is a South African-Canadian visual artist. In 2005, Tia’s family immigrated from South Africa to Prince Albert (SK), Canada. Her childhood and adolescence were filled with countless dance exams, competitions, festivals, and recitals. This is where her heart for the arts and the community began to grow.
Only when Tia pursued her post-secondary studies at the University of Saskatchewan did she decide to take formal studio classes. It was there that she fell in love with the visual arts.
Tia has exhibited and sold artwork in Prince Albert, Saskatoon, and Montréal. She has received numerous grants and awards, which have funded her education and opportunities in the art world. She currently works as the full-time Arts & Cultural Coordinator for the City of Prince Albert. She is passionate about fostering and building community, and believes in the power of the arts to bring people together.
