Hi! I’m Tia Holash, a South African-Canadian visual artist based in Prince Albert, SK Canada.

My family immigrated from South Africa to Prince Albert in 2005, and the arts have been a big part of my life ever since. Growing up, most of my creative energy went into dance — countless exams, competitions, festivals, and recitals. Looking back, that’s really where my love for the arts and creative community began.

It wasn’t until I started university at the University of Saskatchewan that I found my way into visual art. I decided to take a few studio classes and quickly fell in love with creating, experimenting, and learning through art. I graduated with my Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2020.

Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to exhibit and sell my artwork in Prince Albert, Saskatoon, and Montréal, and I’ve been fortunate to receive grants and awards that have supported my education and growth as an artist.

Today, I work as the Arts & Culture Coordinator for the City of Prince Albert, where I get to help support artists, programs, events, and creative opportunities in my community. I’m passionate about making art accessible, bringing people together, and creating spaces where people of all ages can explore their creativity.
